KEVIN M. THEISSEN
Principal & Financial Advisor

Kevin is a founding partner and principal at HWC Financial. He is the Chief Compliance Officer and manages operations and business development. He gets the most satisfaction from working with clients as an Investment Advisor, Wealth Manager/Financial Planner and Tax Professional.

Kevin has held his General Securities Representative Series 7 Registration, Uniform Combined State Law Series 63, and 66. Kevin is a graduate of Adelphi University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Kevin also maintains his Life, Accident, and Health Insurance Licenses. As a tax professional, he is an Enrolled Agent (EA) which are the only federally licensed tax practitioners who specialize in taxation and also have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS.

Kevin began his career on Madison Avenue with Young & Rubicam and then moved into business development and management in the golf and television industries. He then took his experiences to Wall Street with Lebenthal & Co. and TD Waterhouse. After his time in New York, Kevin worked for Q4i in Dallas, TX, where he managed the development of new technologies for mid-sized broker/dealer firms. Kevin spent six years in Tokyo, Japan, where he was a consultant with several financial companies that ranged from large international firms to local Japanese firms.

Born in Glen Cove, Long Island, and raised in New Canaan, CT, Kevin now lives in Greenwich, CT and Ludlow, VT, with his wife and two children. Kevin is Treasurer and Board Member of the Okemo Valley Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Okemo Valley Golf Club. Over the years, Kevin has been active in youth sports as a coach and volunteer. He enjoys outdoor recreation, especially golf, ice hockey, lacrosse and mountain sports.

In addition to helping people become and remain financially healthy, Kevin is passionate about reaching his life’s purpose of being his best in order to help others be their best. As a Certified Primal Health Coach, he helps people pursue “the good life” by focusing on the major aspects of life with the goal of being optimally healthy, wealthy and connected.

JESSICA ROBINSON
Assistant & Paraplanner

Jessica has been a paraplanner for financial advisors since 2000. Her education and comprehensive planning experience will be used as part of the HWC Financial team approach to financial planning. Understanding each individual client and their unique circumstances is what she enjoys most about her career. She takes a personal interest in the success of each client achieving their goals.

Jessica graduated from St. Louis University with a B.S. in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. She completed the Certified Financial Planners educational curriculum in 2006. She is married and loves to travel to small towns across the U.S to experience the diverse culture of our nation. She has a special interest in adopting shar-peis.

MOTOKO ISHIZUKA
Operations & Data Management

Motoko is responsible for operations and data management and focusses on processing, accounting, systems and technologies at HWC Financial. She has a pharmaceutical degree from Meiji Pharmaceutical University in Tokyo and maintains her pharmaceutical licenses.

Motoko has been working in management and regulatory affairs for over twenty years. Prior to HWC Financial, she managed the regulatory affairs departments at Shiseido (Japan), Socie (France) and Revlon (USA). She was responsible for interpreting regulatory rules and rule changes to ensure that they were communicated through corporate policies and procedures, identified relevant guidance documents, international standards, and consensus standards and provided interpretive assistance. She was also responsible for reviewing product promotional materials, labeling, batch records, specification sheets, and test methods for compliance with applicable regulations and policies – and communicating with regulatory agencies regarding pre-submission strategies, potential regulatory pathways, compliance test requirements, and clarification and follow-up of submissions under review.

Motoko is highly detail oriented and is passionate about making sure that nothing slips through the cracks and that operational and compliance procedures are followed – and does it with a smile!

Motoko currently lives in Greenwich, CT with her husband and two daughters. Motoko has travelled extensively throughout the world and spends her summers with family in Kobe, Japan.

ERYN RYAN
Client Services Manager

Eryn spent eight years managing all aspects of her family’s premier landscape business here in Southern Vermont. She loved working with clients and helping them achieve their project goals. She continues the same approach at HWC Financial and enjoys helping each individual client achieve their financial goals and freedom.

Eryn graduated from Castleton State College with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. A native Vermonter, she is passionate about the outdoors and everything Vermont has to offer. She likes running, hiking, skiing, and spending quality time with her two young children and family.
